May and June Fishing Report

May and June have produced good fishing.

Some good Pollock around the Skerries and the iron man.

Mainly on flooding tides but one or two on ebb tides. Mackerel showed up in the middle of May as usual larger fish than the main summer run with dozens being caught at a time.

They have been moving around so catching them is hit and miss mainly caught along Ramore head but also around the Skerries. The Ridge has been fished producing small Pollock and Coley as well as Cod.

The Causeway has not produced any good fish that I have been made aware of yet. The submarine and  other deeper marks should start to fish soon as the water starts to warm up as the season progresses.

I am looking forward to the start of the Tope  fishing season starting. None have been caught yet but they should be here within 2-3 weeks.

Bring it on.

Tight lines.
