Club Training

Portrush Yacht Club is an RYA ‘recognised sailing centre’.

As such the Club is regularly inspected for standards of tuition, facilities and equipment, as laid down by the RYA Training Division and published in the guidance notes.
All sailing centres must have qualified staff, suitable boats and adequate safety cover.
We have full public liability insurance.

We can provide the following training courses

  • Youth Sailing Scheme
  • Stages 1, 2, 3

Keelboat Courses

  • Keelboat Level 1

  • Basic Navigation and Safety
  • Day Skipper Theory
  • Coastal Skipper/
  • Yachtmaster Offshore
  • Theory
  • First Aid (RYA one day)
